We build sites that not only look great but are effective for search engine positioning. Some sites
look good but lack search traffic results. This involves creating a site using the right
technologies and avoiding technologies that present a problem for search engines such as frames,
flash, splash pages and javascript menus. We recommend a site design that is CSS based, using text link menus, appropriate page
titles and meaningful metatags.

Site Planning
Site planning involves looking at all aspects of a site so that it can be designed and coded as
efficiently as possible. It is important to brainstorm as many avenues of your site as possible
before design and coding begin. Realistically, changes in the plan are inevitable during the
implementation process. The key areas to look at are:
- General Appearance and Architecture
- Navigation
- Content (text and images)
- Page Count
- Functionality (Forms & Database Functions)
- Search Engine Optimization Issues (Key Phrases)
Content Development
Effective Writing for the web is significantly different than writing for print. The way you
write and present your ideas and marketing messages is critical to your web site success. Because
web surfers don’t like to read as much as print surfers we generally recommend short paragraphs,
descriptive headers, bulleted lists and items that break up the text.
Logo Design
Your logo is the key element the rest of your site is designed around. If you already have a logo,
we will work it in to your web site design. If you would like to develop a new logo or revise your
existing logo, we would be happy to work with you. To begin the logo creation process:
- An initial conference to discuss design, colors etc.
- We present a logo design / designs for your review
- You give us comments / changes
- We present a revised design
- You give us additional comments and changes
- We present the final design for implementation
Web Site Design
Your web site design will be based on your logo and graphics. The design will provide the palette
and template for developing individual pages and graphics throughout your web site.
- An initial conference about designs includes you giving us addresses
of sites you prefer.
- We present a design/designs for your review
- You give us comments and changes
- We present a revised design
- You give us additional comments and changes
- We present the final design for implementation
Custom Graphics
We will work with whatever photos and illustrations you already have when developing your site.
Additionally, we can do photo retouching and editing, custom illustrations and graphics. Such
work will be billed on an hourly basis. If you have photos you would like scanned, we will scan
your images at a per item charge.
As part of a website project, we will test your site on PCs using Internet Explorer and Mozilla
Firefox, which are the web standards.
Coding a Template
Generally, coding a site begins with the development of a template which includes elements that
are graphically consistent throughout the web site such as:
- Navigation/menus
- Header
- Footer
- Style sheet
We generally develop sites using style sheet (CSS) technology and Master Pages (ASP.NET). Style
sheets allow a great deal of graphic control while also making the site run as fast as possible
and allow quick site-wide graphic changes, which is useful in development and maintenance.
Page Development
Each page will have its own content layout which can include additional graphics that fall within
the initial template design.
After getting initial guidelines from you on what you would like on different pages, we prepare all
of the pages for your review. At that time, you can give us comments and revisions on each page.
Individual pages undergo one revision as part of the overall site costs, with additional revisions
being charged in an hourly rate.
Domain Registration
A domain name is your virtual Internet address, or URL. Pebogroup.com is our domain name. It is
the name people use to find you on the web.
